Progressive Insurance Bhd is an established general insurance company in Malaysia, which was initially incorporated as Sri Bumi Sdn Bhd on 8 June 1974 based in Sarawak.
We subsequently rebranded and renamed as Progressive Insurance Sdn Bhd on 7 December 1975, and expanded our business operations nationwide, including Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak. Progressive Insurance Sdn Bhd relocated headquarters strategically to Kuala Lumpur in 1982, to serve our clients more effectively.
Our financial equity was significantly strengthened after Permodalan Bumiputra Sabah Berhad and Sabah State Government became major shareholders of the Company between years of 1987 to 1989. On 30 May 1997, Progressive Insurance Sdn Bhd successfully converted as public company and renamed as Progressive Insurance Bhd.
With total paid-up capital of RM100 million and a dynamic team of people, Progressive Insurance Bhd ready to grow in vibrant Malaysian insurance industry.
